The former Minister of Interior, Bello Yusuf, has passed away at the age of 76 in the historic city of Kano.
Yusuf’s demise occurred in the early hours of Friday, as confirmed by a close friend of the grieving family, Hussaini Dalhatu.
It is worth noting that the departed individual had previously served as a senator from 1999 to 2007.
Funeral prayer for the Sardauna Dutse would take place after Jumu’at prayer at the Emir of Kano’s palace, Dalhatu said.
Born in Gwaram, Jigawa State in 1947, Yusuf was minister of interior in 1981 and minister of commerce in 1982.
