Wait For It...Abia Christmas Village Unveiled In Umuahia

Driven by the goal is to promote hospitality in Abia and open the state to tourists attractions, a group known as Utown Entertainment is hosting the maidan edition of Abia Christmas Village Xmas project organized with the drive to make Umuahia lively during Xmas.

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking at a press conference in Umuahia, witnessed by Igbere TV, the project manager Emenike Iroegbu, explained that the concept is to have a location created for a fun fair during the Christmas celebration.

 

He also disclosed that the project is for seven days which will kick off on the 25th December to 31st December 2023, stating that event is planned to have various forms of entertainment that everyone present will enjoy for the seven days.

 

The organizers, also called on the Abia State government to partner with them as well as other private organizations , however they explained that it’s purely a private driven project.

 

The event is planned to hold at the Event Center at Okpara square in Umuahia, Abia state.

 

Throwing more light on the project, the operations manager, Peterson Agu, highlighted that the project has planned over 150 vendors for the project which cut across foods, drinks, products, services, VIP lounge, Children games arcades, and other facilities that will make the place look homely.

 

“Utown entertainment is bringing it to Abia as part of the key events to celebrate Christmas both for Abians at home and in the diaspora.” Peterson Said.
“It is going to look like a real Christmas Village, not all about setting canopies for people to come in, we are looking at setting up a small Disney Land where people can come and say yes; we have seen this in Lagos, Uyo, Port Harcourt etc.” He added.

 

The marketing executive for the project, Buchi Ogbonna, said that their goal is to promote hospitality in Abia and generate sustainable revenue and also partner with major stakeholders, brands and government functionaries to utilize the opportunity of the Christmas village to attract more investors, tourists and fun seekers for the Christmas celebration.

 

He also added that, there are spaces for sale which will accommodate small medium scale enterprises which go for 60,000 per stand and there are 150 spaces for sale as they expect a minimum of 1000 people to attend the event for each day.
