"Close Up The Dichotomy Between Public And Private Sector Workers" - Private Sectors Workers to NLC President

Nigerian private sectors worker from Lagos have expressed a disatisfaction with the President of the Nigerian Labor Congress ,Comrade Joe Ajaero ove the vast dichotomy between the public and private sector workers

Some workers of the private sectors within Lagos have accused the NLC President of excluding the interest of the private sectors workers from the aims and objectives of the NLC and TUC.

On Tuesday the 10th of October,2023 our news men gathered from the interactive interview with some workers of private companies and schools.

A country like Nigeria where the government expects of the largest per centage of employment from the private Sectors in accordance to the capitalist economy system which granted and made provision for the private sectors to Dominate the labour force, the NLC president must consider primary the interest of workers of the private sectors .He must consider to regulate the contract staff deal that has been used by the private sectors to enslave Nigerians.

The workers who did not want their names and place of engagement to be mentioned here stated with evidence that , it’s sad and painful for one to be employed as a 3rd party contact staff earning less than 50,000 monthly.

They call on comrade Joe Ajaero, to kindly take it up with the federal government and the national Assembly for amendment to restore direct employment void of contract staff deal which has become a slave trade of 3rd party contact.

They stated Futher that both goverment and private sector workers are all in the same market economy , suffering the same inflation rate and high cost of living among other frustrations by the government .

95% of the private sectors worker are without:
*Better monthly salar, no leave allowances, gratuity nor pensions,
“We can’t afford car, land to build our own houses, quality education for our kids, nor shop for our wives, not living well like a gainfully employed staff of an organisation .

They stated that companies take advantage of the failed goverment to care for her citizens’ through good policy making and corruption eradication , to over use workers and under pay them because there is no job out there.

It’s the duty of NLC to address all of such Lacuna within the emolyement act in favour of the masses.
It’s a sad and a shame for big and famous firms like 7up Bottling company, Chevron plc , Nigerians Brewery, to contract and sub-contract their workers .This should be kindly adrsseed in favour of the private sectors workers in Nigeria.

Another suffering and hopeless set of workers are the private schools Teachers ,most poorly paid ,no additional incentives nor gratuity at the end of service with no job guarantee , no promotion nor salary increment. They discharge their services. for a token earning at the mercy of the school owners .

The NLC and TUC leaders are call upon to consider these issue as a way of closing up the act of being partial and sidelining of the private sectors worker from the nation welfare agitation with the federal government.
