Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has warned that he may soon leave Old Trafford if he does not get enough playing time. Harry Maguire came close to leaving Manchester United in the summer with West Ham United interested in his services, but the deal collapsed.
The former skipper has endured limited playing time and has also lost the captain’s armband in the process.
Furthermore, Harry Maguire has been a victim of social media trolls from his club’s supporters and rival fans during matches. On one occasion, his mother came to his rescue- hitting out at those trolling her son.
“I am not going to sit here all my life and play once a month. If it carries on I am sure myself and the club will sit down and have a chat about things,” Maguire said.
“It’s not my decision whether I start the next game for United or not. In a couple of weeks, I’ll go back and find out.”
“I have belief in my ability and it’s been tough. I want to play games and feel important to the club. At the moment, I haven’t been playing anywhere near as much as I would like. That is the bottom line.
Since Ten Hag stripped Harry Maguire of the captaincy, the Englishman has seen his playing time limited, and he is not happy with it at all.
Harry Maguire insists that his record under Ten Hag is quite impressive and he deserves to be in the starting line-up.
