As a result of a fatal accident on the Katsina-Kano road, Bello Hamisu Safana passed away.

Capt.

Safana, you lived a life marked by dedication and selflessness, and we will remember you. You were an inspiration to many and served as a role model for them.

You put in a lot of effort and stayed on the straight and narrow of integrity, strength, and courage.

The Katsina State Mariners Association has valued your contributions ever since you joined us. We appreciate all you shared with us during the time we spent together. I ask God to grant peace to your departed soul. Your existence was a blessing, and your memories will live on in our hearts always. I miss all the times we spent together on board the MV AIDA and MV Amana as undergraduates and deck cadets.

The path you have established, Captain, is one that should be imitated.

You would never be forgotten.

Captain, until we talk again.

I pray to Allah (SWT) in the name of your family that He will grant them and their loved ones the strength to bear the irreparable loss, Amen.
