In a statement released in response to the police commissioner’s comments, NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi stated that the agency’s response to the police inquiry on Mohbad was sent and received by the police on September 28, 2023.

In order to demonstrate how seriously the Agency treated the problem, he continued, the reply was flown to Lagos.

We also heard the unsupported claim that Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka MohBad, was detained and arrested by NDLEA on February 24, 2022, and given something to drink.

We want to firmly refute this claim by announcing that MohBad was never detained in the care of the NDLEA on the alleged date or any date before or after, nor was he ever arrested.

Given what has been stated above, it is unnecessary to consider providing him with any type of beverage.
