On Monday, October 2, an electrocution in the Dinyavo neighborhood of Taraba State’s capital city of Jalingo resulted in the deaths of four out of a family of five.
The electrocution happened while the father, mother, and two kids were inside their house.
Residents of the neighborhood claim that they believe the national grid’s high voltage supply may have been the cause of the electrocution.
There was a transformer burst this morning.
Smoke followed everyone else out the door.
After a brief period of shouting, many houses quickly filled with smoke.
They locked themselves in, so despite my best efforts to free them, I was unsuccessful. But after successfully breaking down the door, we discovered that they had already been electrocuted and that their neighbors had also been shocked by the electricity supply, so we hurried them to the hospital.
“A witness stated.
The dead people’s bodies have been placed in a morgue.
