In a significant operation, the vigilant agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully apprehended a notorious drug kingpin.
This high-profile arrest involved Obiorah Chigozie Samuel, who had been on the wanted list for his repeated attempts to smuggle illicit drugs into the United Kingdom.
Samuel’s capture represents a major breakthrough for the NDLEA, as it comes on the heels of a series of successful interdiction operations in the past week, resulting in the seizure of an astonishing four tons of illegal substances.
This was revealed in a signed statement by the agency’s Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Samuel has been on the wanted list of the Agency since 15th September 2023 when a consignment of 1.500kg skunk concealed in flour going to London, UK was intercepted at the SAHCO export shed of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA Ikeja Lagos, and his freight agent, Nworah Adaugo Precious arrested.
