The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost Alhaji Muktar Ramalan Yero, a former governor of Kaduna State
In a letter dated September 30 and addressed to the Ward Chairman, PDP Kaura, the state’s Zaria Local Government Area, Yero announced his choice.
It said;.
“With gratitude to Almighty Allah, I write to extend my warmest greetings and to formally inform you of my decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
I hereby tender my resignation as a member of the People’s Democratic Party, effective as of September 30, 2023.
I’ve enclosed my fully returned party membership card with this letter.

The late Governor Patrick Yakowa, who died in an airplane crash, had Yero, who is also the Dallatun Zazzau, as his deputy.
Between 15 December 2012 and 29 May 2015, he served as governor of Kaduna State.
