MohBad: How Police Operatives Picked Up Sam Larry From Lagos Airport Upon Arrival From Kenya

Law enforcement officers from the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force apprehended Balogun Eletu, a well-known socialite and music promoter, recognized by his popular alias, Sam Larry, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja.

This arrest is connected to the tragic passing of the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, known in the music industry as Mohbad.

As previously reported by Igbere TV, the arrest of Sam Larry is part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely demise.

A police source revealed that “Sam Larry was arrested at the airport after he arrived from Kenya. Our officers arrested him at the airport and he was immediately taken to the state police headquarters for questioning.”

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this development on Thursday night via X platform, previously known as Twitter.

“Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with ongoing investigation,” he had said.

Previously, the police had summoned Sam Larry and the renowned singer, Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, for an inquiry concerning Mohbad’s tragic passing.

Just last week, law enforcement officials also confirmed that the autopsy on Mohbad had been completed by pathologists, and they are currently awaiting the results.

He said, “Autopsy has been concluded. Awaiting results.”

This development followed the exhumation of Mohbad by a combined team of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials.

The police had also arrested the nurse who reportedly injected the deceased singer before his demise on Tuesday, September 12.

Sam Larry’s arrest came after Naira Marley announced his plan to return to Nigeria to prove his innocence over Mohbad’s death, as long as his safety was guaranteed.
