Traders Thrown Out Of Market, Left Stranded Due To Sudden Shut Down

Traders in popularly known “boundary market”in Ajegunle , Ajeromi LGA of Lagos State are left stranded today the 25th September, 2923.reoort gathered that the market was suddenly shut down by members of the Lagos state Task force.

Trading activities were cut short in the market which earlier today was active in all commercial activities.till afternoon of the same today .

Report gathered from some of the stranded traders in the locked down market, said they suddenly experienced the operatives of the Lagos state Task force in actions as most of their goods and articles are locked in while they are forced out of their shops .Not even the table market Retailers not those by the Road side within the covering Market area are allowed.

Some some of the traders who stated that ,it was alleged that some market Guards confronted few of the task force operative in the earlier hours today prevented them from locking the market .They allege that the market Guards chased off the men of the Lagos state Task force with gun shut. It sounded obviously to some that this could lead to the sudden shut down of the market in the after .

According to a group of the idle traders who unfolded in an interview discussion that ,the afternoon team of Lagos task force explained in a single statement that “it’s is an order from above ” they were quoted to have come from Alausa , Ikeja for the execution of the said ” order from above” .

Boundary market traders who claimed not to know the the main reason for the locked dow of the market, looked confused as some could leave to their houses but remain hanging around to see how the day ends in the face of their sudden encountered.

It was noted that only public transport was in full function as drivers lacked passengers to load and take off as quickly as before.

The marker was left with scanty population by the roads’ side round the market Square lamenting how uncertainty to getting their daily mean or access to hussle for survival.

Pad lucks of various sizes were used to locked off all acces into and out of the market .

“,We are not told what is reason for the lockdown and we don’t even know our fate as it is ” said some of the traders .
