Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) has honoured the CEO, Diamond Leeds Ltd, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu) with the prestigious award of Man of the Year.
Tagged Benefactor of Benefactors, the award is in recognition of his humanitarian activities across the country which have affected the lives of numerous people.
The award was conferred on Chief Ifekudu on Sunday, September 24 in Awka Anambra state.
Chief Ifekudu who was physically present in the company of his family and loved ones expressed gratitude to the leadership of RATTAWU for recognizing what he does to touch the lives of Nigerians.
He assured that he would continue to lend support in lifting the less privileged and those in need in the Nigerian society.
Chief Ifekudu was in the twilight of the past administration honoured with the award of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
Not long ago, he embarked on four major projects in Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The projects include, construction of Obialigbo lock-up shops, erosion control in most affected parts of the community, road construction in Eziora Ozubulu and lighting up of Ozubulu villages with all-in-one solar-powered street lights.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Ifekudu said the projects is one of the ways to appreciate his community that gave birth to him and raised him to the level he has come in life.
According to him, the community has been subjected to several infrastructural challenges despite its commercial viability, noting that the projects are targeted at bringing relief to the people Ozubulu.
