The gunmen also abducted Usman Umaru, Agwom Dauda, and a woman only known as Sarah, according to a source close to the community who spoke to the Nigerian Tribune.
They were free to do so for nearly 40 minutes.
According to the source, the gunmen who fired several shots into the air to deter onlookers, particularly vigilantes and hunters, from coming to their aid, fled with their captors in a car while others followed on motorcycles.
In an effort to apprehend the kidnappers and their accomplices terrorizing the local government area, security personnel, vigilantes, and hunters are rummaging through the nearby hills.
The clergyman’s relative revealed that the kidnappers have not contacted the family for a ransom in an interview with the media under the condition of anonymity.
DSP Alfred Alabo, a spokesman for the State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that authorities are on the case to apprehend those responsible.
