The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) reported a revenue of N3.1 billion in 2022, 43.9% decrease from N5.37 billion in 2019.

The NBS stated in a new report released on September 11 that the total revenue generated by postal activities in 2022 decreased by 17.5%, from N3.63 billion in 2021 to N3.1 billion in 2022.
In comparison to the 2019 figure, it fell by an additional 44%.
Nigeria had 2,794 post offices and postal agencies as of 2021.
To 2,251, however, the amount fell by 19%.
Despite the reduction in post offices, the bureau reported that the volume of mail brought into Nigeria from abroad and delivered there increased by a staggering 107% between 2019 and 2022, from 9.4 million to 19.5 million.
