In Ondo, a pastor was detained for a N1.3M visa fraud

A 39-year-old Pastor named Micheal Ogundepo has been taken into custody by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo state in connection with an alleged visa scam.

 

One Miss Fagbuyiro Ajetomobi was allegedly defrauded of N1.6 million by Ogundepo. He allegedly took Miss Ajetomobi’s passport and used the money she gave him for personal use, preventing her from being able to apply for a new visa.

 

 

 

 

 

Daniel Aidamenbor, a representative for the NSCDC in the region, stated;.

 

 

 

 

Micheal Ogundepo, 39, a pastor at No. 15 Ewu Agbo Street in Ikorodu, Lagos, was detained for defrauding Miss Fagbuyiro Ajetomobi Yemi of No. 110 Osi Igoba in Akure out of 1,670,000 naira under the guise of assisting her in obtaining a visa.

 

 

 

The suspect was extended several invitations by the command, but he turned them down. He pretended to be abroad and pretended to be calling from an international number when he called the complainant.

 

 

 

 

The suspect was detained when, without his knowledge, he was asked to pay N3,000,000 for a job on a visa.
