Matthew Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, known as Happie Boys, once security guards turned content creators, have once more humbly sought forgiveness from their benefactor, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the esteemed founder of Omega Power Ministry (OPM).
In a heartfelt Instagram video posted on Thursday, September 7, these two individuals, who rose to prominence after losing their security jobs for dancing while on duty, earnestly appealed to the revered clergyman and fellow Nigerians for compassion. They expressed the challenges they currently face in Cyprus, emphasizing the difficult circumstances they find themselves in.
This comes months after they shunned his offer to sponsor their return ticket to Nigeria to continue their education in any university of their choice in Nigeria or Benin Republic after they called him out for putting a stop to their scholarship at a university in Cyprus.
They stood by their decision to remain in Cyprus and find a way to fend for themselves. They even took dancing gigs at clubs for a stipend.
Following the incident, they started making unpleasant remarks about the clergyman and throwing shade at him on social media for stopping their scholarship over economic reasons.
However, in the video they shared online, they said they were willing to return to Nigeria to apologise in person to the preacher.
“Even if you want us to come back to Nigeria we will do that just to get your forgiveness,” they said, adding “Things are not going well for us. Please forgive us, find a place in your heart to forgive us. Daddy OPM please forgive us.”
They also vowed not to speak ill about the cleric again and sought his blessings.
