NLC instructs members to resume work after the warning strike is over.

The Nigerian Labor Congress, or NLC, has called an end to its two-day warning strike and requested that all affiliated unions report to work on September 7 instead.

On Tuesday, September 5, the labor union began a two-day warning strike in an effort to alert the government to the hardships that Nigerians are experiencing as a result of the removal of the fuel subsidy.

The NLC thanked all of its affiliates and the chairs of the state councils in a letter for their efforts to advance the objectives set by the Congress during its National Executive Council, or NEC, where the strike decision was made.

The NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, wrote a letter on September 6 with the subject line, “The Two-Day Nationwide Warning Strike: Nigerian Workers have spoken,” and it was signed by him.

It stated that the government heard the message sent by the warning strike loud and clear, and that only an unobservant ear would fail to pick it up.

The letter is written.

“We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to all of our loyal Affiliates, State Councils, and esteemed members for their unwavering support and active participation in the recent two-day nationwide warning strike.

This joint effort was made to demonstrate how strongly we believe that the welfare of our people should come first in government policy, along with adherence to the law. We are happy to report that, as a result of your unwavering dedication, we have made significant progress toward achieving the objectives set forth during our National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which prompted the start of this warning strike.

It is blatantly obvious that the government has heard our message loud and clear, and it would take a remarkably deaf ear to miss it.

We sincerely request that you all end the two-day nationwide warning strike politely and report to work tomorrow as per our original agreement as we mark the end of the strike today at midnight.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for your unwavering resolve and commitment, which were crucial to the resounding success of this action.

Your contributions during this warning strike serve as a shining example of your unwavering dedication to our common cause.

“.

That was also stated in the letter.

“We urge you to keep your steadfast resolve in the event that the government is unable to comply with our demands.

If we are required to launch an indefinite nationwide strike, the same fervor and tenacity that drove this warning strike will be essential.

The actions of critics and fifth columnists are not ignored by Congress, but in spite of them all, we remain unfazed and even more devoted to protecting Nigerian workers and citizens at all times. Our country merits better.

We want to thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts for your invaluable work and unwavering commitment to our cause.

Together, we will keep working tirelessly to make sure that the public’s voice is heard and that our nation moves in the right direction.

“A united people can never be conquered!”.
