Shettima, Ribadu, Gbajabiamila Others Present as Presidential Tribunal Delivers Judgement

Prominent figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, national security adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and chief of staff to the president Femi Gbajabiamila, have gathered at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in anticipation of the highly awaited judgment slated for Wednesday.

Joining them in this pivotal moment are other notable individuals such as the national chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, as well as Governors Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State. They have all converged at the tribunal, which is currently in session at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

The tribunal will rule on petitions made against the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu by the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate in the February 25 election, Peter Obi; and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, among others.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) insists that Tinubu won the election and that claims made by the petitioners were not concrete enough to change the outcome of the election.

Tinubu arrived India on Tuesday for a six-day official visit, during which he will attend the G-20 leaders’ summit among other engagements.
