A British tourist was allegedly gang raped this past weekend in Cyprus’s well-known tourist destination of Ayia Napa by five attackers.
Five men have been detained as a result.
The 20-year-old victim reported to Cypriot authorities on Sunday that five men attacked her in her hotel in the city of Famagusta.
After hearing the alleged victim’s account of the attack and the suspects, Cypriot police have since detained five Israeli men, three of whom are 19 and two of whom are 20.
Later today, all five suspects must appear in Famagusta district court.
