A delegation from ECOWAS, led by former head of state Gen. AbdulSalami, is at the state house to update President Bola Tinubu about their visit to the military junta.
President Bola Tinubu is engaging with key stakeholders involved in the ECOWAS intervention in the Niger Republic crisis, as part of the ongoing efforts to resolve the political deadlock.
Tinubu is the chairman of the Authority of the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States.
Attending the ongoing meeting taking place at State House, Abuja, were the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr Omar Touray; leader of the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta, former Nigerian Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), and the National Security Adviser to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
