Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly Noheem Adams has been decorated with a chieftaincy title of Otun-Oba of Ogombo Kingdom in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The ceremony on Saturday commemorated the King of Ogombo Oba Abiodun Ogunbo’s first anniversary on the throne.
Adams described the king as a kind-hearted leader who appreciated his domain’s positive development, adding that his good deeds have paid off greatly.
The lawmaker said he did not see the chieftaincy title coming, but leaders of his lineage – Dada Omolara ruling house – deemed it fit for him to be the next Otun-Oba of Ogombo land.
Adams noted that the chieftaincy title conferred on him was a call to service.
“The chieftaincy title conferred on me today is in commemoration of the king’s first-year coronation anniversary, the Oba’s good deeds prior to now have paid off greatly,” he added.
