IgbereTV has obtained a very disturbing footage of the moment popular Lagos socialite, Farida Sobowale of ‘House of Phreeda’, attempted to jump into the Lagos lagoon through the third mainland bridge, Thursday evening, August 17, 2023.
Luckily, she was quickly rescued by motorists.
According to an eyewitness, “She drove her Lexus SUV to the extension, descended and was going to hop into the Tidal pond when she was safeguarded by people who were there at that point.”
Recordings shared on social media shows her wearing dark, sobbing as she was held by individuals who saved her. Sobowale is a visionary business entrepreneur notable in Lagos circle.
She recently held a talk of the town wedding about two months ago which the rumour mill say has hit the rocks.
Reacting to the development, broadcaster Lara Wise said:
“I watched the video of the very beautiful lady who was rescued from the third mainland bridge attempting to commit suicide.
First let me commend the gallant efforts of those who stopped by, abandoning their businesses to save a soul. Nigerians are very good people.
So I read up her story, different accounts, really.
Heartbreak 💔
A very bad case pushed her to the edge.
Marriage of two months ended.
She and the husband have washed their dirty linens in public and the linens were damn dirty I doubt if they succeeded in washing them or dirtying them the more.
I read up so much I decided to stop.
See ehn, bro, sis, give yourself rest!
What did I say?
Give your self premium rest. This life is so easy.
Do not go fishing in waters that do not sustain aquatic life!
Do not take what does not belong to you.
Do not be desperate. Desperation is the mother and grandmother frustration.
Emotional wounds are deep.
Deep wounds are hard to see or treat.
Please stop toying with one another’s emotions.
Do not promise what you do not intend to keep.
Do not lead each other on for selfish gains.
Do not make a man/woman fall in love with you if you do not intend to go the whole yard.
When you want to break a heart, break it responsibly knowing that there is a place called tomorrow.
Stop using people.
Stop hurting one another.
I pray she and her estranged man find healing and restoration.
May the Lord speak peace and healing to every troubled soul…”
