In the Shira Local Government Area of Bauchi State, a newborn baby girl was discovered abandoned under a tree close to a hospital
A primary school teacher named Auwal Maisalati Shira claims that on August 16, 2023, around noon, the infant was abandoned on leaves under a tree near Ambara Hospital.
The infant was placed on a piece of fabric while being fully dressed.
Mr. Auwal claimed that he transported the infant to the hospital’s maternity ward along with the Shira LGA’s social welfare officer.
