Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has warned his newly sworn-in commissioners to avoid corruption and any corrupt tendencies.
He warned those whose sole aspiration is wealth to voluntarily step down before he ships them out.
His admonition was contained in a post on his social media platform on Thursday.
He reminded them that commitment and fairness in discharging their duties are paramount.
“To all commissioners sworn in today: You have been chosen from amongst the multitude of talented individuals that Adamawa State abundantly possesses. Therefore, your commitment and fairness in discharging your duties are paramount. It is crucial to avoid corruption and any corrupt tendencies.
” I must emphasize that the call you have answered is a call to serve, not a pursuit of wealth. If your sole aspiration is riches, you are in the wrong position, and I strongly advise you to voluntarily step down before I ship you out,” he said
