Paschal Agbodike, a member of the House of Representatives who represents the Ihiala Federal Constituency, had his home set on fire by some as-yet-unidentified hoodlums
Around one in the morning on Tuesday, the alleged attackers broke into the lawmaker’s home in Ubahi-Mbosi, in the state’s Ihiala Local Government Area, and began shooting randomly before setting fire to the residence.
Even though no lives were lost, it was learned. The igberetv reports that the house, which was a fully furnished five-bedroom duplex with four living rooms and a kitchen, was completely destroyed by the thugs.
Agbodike confirmed the incident on Tuesday and claimed that he had learned about it over the phone while he was in Abuja. He also stated that the hoodlums had fled the scene before security personnel arrived.
However, the member of Congress remained mum on whether he had any suspicions or whether the incident was politically motivated.
DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the public relations officer for the Anambra State Police, who also confirmed the incident, said that surveillance operations were still being conducted nearby.
“The area has been approved, and security personnel have been stationed there. The operatives continue to conduct surveillance, the man claimed.
