Tinubu’s Cabinet List Finally Arrives at Senate, Umahi’s Name Spotted

 

The much awaited ministerial list of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally arrived the Senate, IgbereTV can authoritatively report.

The list which is yet to be read to Senators by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, forced the Senate into closed door session.

The closed door session started at exactly 12.15 pm after adoption of votes and proceedings of plenary held on Wednesday , July 26, 2023.

 

A highly dependable source among the Senators, told 9news Nigeria that the closed door session was called for arrangement on how the nominees will be screened and confirmed.

 

“You know the Senate and the House of Representatives, supposed to embark on 6 -week annual long recess from today but with transmission of names of ministerial nominees to us by President Bola Tinubu, for screening and confirmation ,we have to decide whether to wait for one week to do that or go for the recess and come for the assignment in between,” he said.

 

Our source also confirmed that the name of Former Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi is on the list.
