It could be recalled that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF gave a pat on the back of the Interim Management Committee, IMC for fulfilling its mandate in organizing a successful league campaign.
“Board (NFF Executive Board) unanimously expressed satisfaction and delight with the efforts put into the organization of the just-concluded Nigeria Premier Football League season and the NPFL Playoff Championship by the Interim Management Committee headed by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, and declared without mincing words that the Committee has fulfilled its mandate with distinction,” the federation said after it’s Executive Board meeting on June 21.
However, of concern ahead of the new season, is the fact that the NFF/Sports ministry is yet to constitute the league organisers following the expiration of the tenure of the IMC with the just concluded season.
