The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing has said the incessant bandits’ attacks on the Kaduna- Kano-Abuja road is the reason for the slow pace of construction work on that axis.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mahmuda Mamman, who spoke to newsmen after the inspection tour of the road, noted that work on the road would soon be completed, following the improved security situation.
He added that the contractor handling the project had promised to complete the entire project within the given timeline.
Mamman explained that the ministry embarked on the familiarization journey from the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway purposely to monitor the progress made so far.
Mamman said the purpose of the familiarization visit was to assess the challenges and find means of mitigating them.
He urged the contractor to deliver within the stipulated timeframe
