Mr Godwin Emefiele, the imprisoned suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), will learn his fate on July 13 after being held in the custody of the Directorate of State Services (DSS).
Remember that President Bola Tinubu dismissed Emefiele from his position as the country’s top banker roughly two weeks ago, and he was afterwards arrested by the DSS.
The secret agency had kept him incommunicado since his detention.
He petitioned the Federal Capital Territory High Court through his lawyer, Chief Joseph Daudu, SAN, for an order granting him access to his family members and attorneys, which the court approved last week.
However, after hearing from counsel in the dispute on Tuesday, the Court set July 13 as the date for a decision.
