Chukkol Takes Over as New Acting EFCC Chairman (SEE Profile)

Following the indefinite suspension of the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, President Bola Tinubu has directed that the Director of Operations at the Commission, Abdulkarim Chukkol immediately takes charge of the anti-graft agency, IgbereTV has learned.

A statement issued from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation says weighty allegations of abuse of office had been levelled against Bawa, who has been in office since February 24, 2021.
