Members of the House of Representatives have elected Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
Kalu who represents Bende Federal Constituency of Abia state was elected unopposed.

Rt Hon. Tajudeen Abass had earlier been elected as the Speaker of the house.
Both candidates had earlier been endorsed by the ruling All Progressives Congress APC as their choice candidates for both seats.
Senators Godswill Akpabio and Jibrin Barau were also elected by the senators of the upper chamber as the President and Deputy president respectively
