In his acceptance speech, Dr Ufoaroh praised the organisers for the inspiring event and pleaded with all men and women of goodwill from the state to support the event.
He said:
“My reasons for accepting to be the chairman of the planning committee, of the award, Anambra Man of the Year, 2022, cannot be over emphasised. Of a truth, as an illustrious son of the State, I am saddled with the responsibility of contributing my own quota towards the development of the state. Worthy of note is that, this award, amongst others within the state, is quite outstanding, as its recipients are well distinguished from the ‘usual’ crowd.
“For clarity sake, as one of the recipients of the 2021 award, I make bold to say, that the level of transparency at which the 2021 edition screening process was conducted, which further spur my need to keep encouraging excellence among Anambrarians, is highly commendable. Such attitudinal disposition will however, propel human capacity development, as the selective process was genuinely based on individual or collective achievements only, devoid of any form of favouritism or bias. Hence, the vision to encourage Anambrarians to think home and help in developing their different communities, local governments and the state generally, is seriously advised because they will be well recognised as their names will be plated in gold for generations unborn.
“Finally, I made a promise to support this exercise after receiving my award 2021. I shall uphold my promise for the good of the state, as I also encourage all well-meaning Anambrarians to do same”.
