The last may not have been heard about the controversial drug case allegedly involving Nigerian President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the United States of America, IgbereTV reports.
A retired United States mental health counsellor, Jeffrey Guterman has filed a request to the Federal Bureau of Intelligence, FBI, asking the security agency to release its file on Tinubu.
The information Guterman is asking the FBI to release is related to Tinubu’s $460,000 forfeiture on a drug trafficking case he had in the United States of America in 1993, when he (Tinubu) was a seating Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Taking to his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, the health expert disclosed that he had filed an expedited request because of Tinubu’s reported drug trafficking case.
According to him, Tinubu’s reported drug trafficking case is a threat to the public.
He wrote: “I just sent a request to the @FBI to release their file on Bola Tinubu based on the U.S. Freedom of Information Act.”
Tinubu’s alleged Drug trafficking case is one of the grounds being used by the Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi to challenge Tinubu’s victory in the February 25, 2023 Nigerian presidential election.
