Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has been told to loan out four Chelsea players and go all out to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the summer.
It is yet undecided if Lampard will remain at the club after the end of the season as he was appointed on an interim basis, but football pundit and The Mirror Editor, Mark Jones is advising whoever takes that position to endure a loan move for David Datro Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson.
He also noted that it was unnecessary for the Blues to sign Denis Zakaria permanently from Juventus after his loan deal.
Chelsea recently fired Graham Potter after just seven months of appointment as their manager and hired Lampard to act on an interim level following their struggles in domestic competitions this season.
And Jones noted that in order to challenge for the Premier League title next season, the Chelsea squad has to be rebuilt.
He wrote in his column for The Mirror: “So that’s six out permanently, and I’d look at loaning out the likes of David Datro Fofana , Carney Chukwuemeka , Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson, while I’m not signing Denis Zakaria permanently after his loan deal. So that’s 11 out.”
He noted that with the likes of Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke and Mykhaylo Mudryk in the attack, Chelsea would like to make more additions in that area,
The pundit then advised the Stamford Bridge landlords to sign Joao Felix on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid, “and then I’d go all out for Victor Osimhen from Napoli who is exactly the type of No.9 Chelsea are missing right now.”
“In fact he’d probably take the No.9 shirt, but is good enough to lift the curse,” he concluded
