Kenneth Omeruo insists the Super Eagles are determined to avenge their defeat to Guinea-Bisssu in Monday’s (today) 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying reverse fixture.
The Djurtus emerged 1-0 winner when both teams met last Friday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja
Ahead of the reverse fixture billed for the September 24 Stadium, Bissau, Omeruo, who plays for Spanish Segunda Division club, Leganes said the Super Eagles are going for nothing but victory against the Djurtus.
“In our team, we analyse the game because they were lucky to come out with a win against us. Possession wise, we dominated the game and missed a number of chances,” Omeruo told a pre-match press conference monitored by newsmen
“Everyone knows what is at stake here. We are not here for a draw but to win the game. We were unlucky in the first game because we missed a number of goal scoring chances.
“We are here to fight for everything. Hopefully we will go back home with a win,” he added
