Abia 2023: Great Mobilizers Group Endorses APP Gubernatorial Candidate, Mascot Uzor Kalu

In what was a further confirmation of the widespread acceptance of the candidacy of the Abia state governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, a grassroots political group, the Great Mobilizers endorsed the APP candidate and adopted him as their sole governorship candidate after a brief meeting in Aba today.

In his declaration speech, the Coordinator of the group, Mr. Austin Alala, said his group is willing to work for Chief Kalu as they stand strongly behind his electoral quest.

Mr. Bestman Okezie, who is the secretary of the group, said they are convinced by Chief Kalu’s vision for a better Abia, while adding that the group has never adopted a governorship candidate without him emerging victorious at the polls.

The APP governorship candidate, speaking earlier before his candidacy’s adoption by the Great Mobilizers, assured the group that he aptly understood the problems of Abia State and had the requisite training to solve them.

In his words, “As I have toured around Abia, I have found out that in every L.G.A., the problems are similar.” But theirs are too complex to solve. “It is just to find the right person to solve them, which I am because I am the only one who has the requisite training and has been in the system.”

The Great Mobilizers Group has over 5,000 members with a grassroots presence across twelve L.G.A.s in Abia state, especially in the Abia South senatorial district of the state.
