I am forever indebted to my beloved late father, who altruistically funded all my academic endeavours. Although I worked as the Global Head of Legal and Governance @diamondhangar and lecturer in law at @birkbeckuol during my PhD, my father still selflessly and unbegrudgingly provided for me. He ensured I had the best quality of life and offered emotional, mental and intellectual support along the way.
My fathers’ benevolence meant I had a great head start in life without the burden of student loan repayments – I acknowledge and do not take this privilege for granted. His sacrifices have enabled me to now lead this independent and progressive life. I felt his presence throughout the graduation ceremony, and I know he is incredibly proud.
