Emmanuel Kanu, brother of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has voiced his concern over the health of Mazi Kanu.
IGBERE TV reports that Nnamdi Kanu is under trial for treason and terrorism charges, he has denied all charges.
According to Emmanuel, he visited his brother on Monday, September 19 at the Department of State Service, DSS, facility in Abuja where he is being detained and the outlook on the Biafra leader’s health isn’t good.
“I visited my brother and the leader of the IPOB Nmamdi Kanu yesterday at the DSS facility in Abuja where he is being detained and what I saw did not give me joy”. Emmanuel told Daily Sun.
He said the IPOB leader has been having stomach ache and needs to be properly examined by a specialist
According to Emmanuel, it was unfortunate that Kanu would be sick to that level and the DSS would not allow his medical doctors to examine him.
He alleged that several efforts the family have made to get Nmamdi Kanu’s doctors examine him, were rebuffed by the DSS.
“My brother is having serious stomach problem where he is being detained and he needs his specialist doctors to examine him”, Emmanuel said.
