Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has stated why some Nigerians with valid visas have been turned back at the airport by UAE authorities, IGBERETV reports.
She said that the UAE authorities recently released new guidelines for visa application for certain age categories.
According to her, “many Nigerians now try to circumvent the guidelines by applying for “family visas”. They got the visas and travel alone and then get turned back at the airport.
Six months genuine bank statement, accommodation as well as returning ticket must be produced but some Nigerians do not provide this on arrival and the are turned back.”
