BREAKING!! Militant Group, ‘Black Marine’ Attacks Nigerian Navy Over Militarisation of S/East, Kills Two Marines | #IgbereTV
Armed separatists suspected to be Black Marine, a militant group in Bakassi Peninsula that claims to be working for Biafra Nations League (BnL), have attacked two Navy personnel and beheaded one of them in Oron, Akwa Ibom State.
It is unclear what the actual mission of the group was.
It was gathered that the militant fled towards Bakassi shortly after the attack.
BnL has refused to confirm its relationship with the Black Marine despite the militant group identifying itself as a military arm of BnL.
Sources said the group dropped a written note, warning the federal government to withdraw its forces from Nigeria’s Southeast region. But the presidency has warned that it would deploy tougher military actions against lawbreakers.
President Muhammadu Buhari cautioned the perpetrators of nefarious acts in the south-south and south-east regions to expect a strong response from the security agents.
