The Deputy Governorship Candidate of YPP, in Abia State, Chief Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso has donated a new security vehicle to Igbere vigilante group in order to secure lives and property.
Speaking to Igbere TV after donating the vehicle to the vigilante group, Dr. Anyaso said security of lives and property cannot be left exclusively to the government especially in our local communities.
He revealed that while he was in a meeting with the President General of Igbere community union, he received news that there had been an accident and unfortunately there was no vehicle to convey the victims to the hospital.
According to him, “I immediately instructed our foundation’s coordinator of transportation to rush the victims to the hospital in one of our cars because in that moment nothing else mattered than preserving the lives of the injured and making sure they got medical care.”
“This incidence exposed a lack of preparedness to handle emergencies as I kept thinking what could have happened if they were not taken to the hospital in time.”
“Hence the decision to immediately procure and donate this vehicle to our security outfit in the village. The vehicle is to help them move around easy and be more effective so that in incidences of accidents they are able to use their vehicle to convey victims to the hospital. Also be easily available when and where security matters arise.”
