Attorney-general of the federation (AGF) and minister of justice Abubakar Malami has wedded Nana Hadiza, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, as his third wife.
The private wedding took place on Friday in the Presidential Villa, it was gathered.
The Nikkai (wedding ceremony) was attended by close family members and few top government officials.
Hadiza, 41, is Buhari’s third daughter with his first wife, Safinatu. She was married to Abdulrahman Mamman Kurfi with whom she had six children before their divorce.
“The Nikkai was performed after the Jumat in the State House mosque and not many people witnessed it,” a source was quoted as saying by The Nation.
“It was meant to be a private ceremony, so journalists couldn’t have been part of it.”
Malami’s other wives are Aisha and Fatima.
