The Transgender community in Abuja held a public protest against the Federal government of Nigeria on Sunday, May 1, IGBERETV reports.
The protest took place at an open park with several protesters rocking T-shirts with various inscriptions including “Trans lives matter,” and “Q*e*r rights are human rights.”
They also held up a banner in which they urged the government to focus on more pressing issues in the country like insecurity, injustice, and food scarcity among others.
