Nigeria has confirmed 228 new cases of COVID-19 in various parts of the country, said the Federal Government agency responsible for the control of disease outbreaks, IgbereTV reports.
Giving an update on the outbreak of the disease in a Facebook post on Monday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed that the new cases were reported in 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Of the cases, the FCT recorded the highest number of infections β 110 and was followed by Gombe and Lagos which reported 38 and 32 new cases respectively.
Others states with fresh infections on Sunday are Osun β 14, Taraba β 12, Imo β five, Kaduna β five, Rivers β four, Borno β two, Kano β two, Bauchi β one, Delta β one, Ekiti β one, and Ogun β one.
Latest data from the NCDC revealed that no new fatality was recorded, but the nationβs toll from the disease stands at 3,124.
