The remains of Matui Esky, who died in a fatal crash in Jigawa State on his way to Katsina for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation exercise, have been buried.

The 24-year-old was involved in an accident on November 26 where he lost his life.

A graduate of architecture from Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Mr Esky was to observe the three-week mandatory orientation in Katsina, although he was posted to Borno for the one-year service.

Friends and family gathered on Tuesday for his funeral service at the Christian Cemetery, Yelwa, Bauchi.

During his sermon, the regional church council chairman, COCIN Kagadama, Rev. Luka Bitrus, said that the incident has left them in pain and shock.

He said, “This death has left us with deep thoughts. It is causing us serious pain and sadness, it does not call for eating and drinking because a strong man has died. I call on you all to have deep thoughts about happenings such as these.”
