The Federal Government has disclosed that it lost a grant of $1.6m for the conduct of a survey which was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, IgbereTV reports.
It also said that no fewer than 17.3 million insecticide nets were distributed across six states in 2020.
These were disclosed in a funding request made by the Federal Ministry of Health to the Global Fund, an international partnership which seeks to end AIDs, tuberculosis and malaria.
The government explained that the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic led to the interruption of anti-malaria services at health facilities due to disruptions in national supply chain management and restriction of movement.
