Release Kanu, Igboho, Embrace Dialogue, Actor Yul Edochie Tells FG

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has pleaded with the Federal Government to release the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu and the Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho.

The actor made the appeal in an Instagram post on Tuesday. Yul also called for dialogue and peace as a solution to the nation’s challenges.

“I appeal to the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho and follow the line of dialogue and peace. A country that already has so much challenges facing it, the use of dialogue in this issue will go a long way in establishing peace and unity,” he wrote.

Sunday Igboho, who is in detention in Benin Republic, was reported to have been rushed to a hospital over alleged liver disease.

The United Nations has also raised concerns over the arrest and alleged torture of leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu by the Department of State Services (DSS).

The UN, among other requests, asked the Federal Government to provide detailed information on Kanu’s current state of health and measures taken to prevent irreparable damage to his life.
