Opinion : Two Reasons Sen. Orji Kalu Should Emerge As Presidential Candidate From The South East
2023 general election is fast approaching and many politicians across the nation are gradually positioning themselves to take up the mantle from President Muhammadu Buhari. leaders of thought from the south east are not left out as many of them are allegedly showing interest in the contest.
The question on the minds of many people from the region is; who should emerge as the presidential candidate from the zone?.
Without any form of sentiment, it is very important to note that Senator Orji Uzo Kalu has distinguished himself as someone who is capable of representing the best interest of Nigerians and the people of south east at the federal level.
This are the top two reasons why i think Senator Orji Uzo Kalu should be considered as presidential candidate from the south east. it is also pertinent to know that this article does not represent the general believe of Nigerians, rather it is solely based on my personal opinion.
1) He is very outspoken on issues of national importance: Mr Orji Uzo Kalu has proven that he is committed to building the Nigerian project and this is evident in all he does regarding the issue of secession in the south east. he has been vocal and does not waste time to remind his people about the importance of unity in Nigeria.
2) He is a statesman who is respected by all: Sen. Orji Uzo Kalu is one of the respected leaders from the south east region who has the passion to lead Nigerians irrespective of where one comes from.
Nigeria is a very ethnic sensitive society, and only a leader who is void of segregation and sentiment can take Nigeria to that greater height.
Just like i said initially, this are my personal perception about the former governor of Abia state, Sen. Orji Uzo Kalu.
