Concerned stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have rejected consensus arrangement in the choice of National Working Committee (NWC) members at the forthcoming national convention, IgbereTV reports.
Addressing a press conference at the APC National Secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja, leader of the group, Abubakar Usman Sidiq, said the party had deviated from the goals of its founding fathers.
He argued that the consensus option adopted during the ward and local government congresses led to the imposition of candidates and should not be applied in the choice of the next crop of the party’s NWC members.
