IBB @80: Obasanjo, Saraki, Obi, Others Storm Hilltop Mansion After Kalu’s 2023 ‘Endorsment’ | #IgbereTV
Prominent Nigerians stormed the country home of former Military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, who clocked 80 years to celebrate with him.
As early as 8am, many well-wishers including family, and friends started arriving the Hilltop residence of IBB along David Mark road in Minna, Niger State.
The callers included former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, Mr. Peter Obi.
On arrival, former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar was at hand to accompany former President Olusegun Obasanjo to the hill-top mansion of General Babangida at about 10:15am in a convoy of over 20 vehicles.
Some other notable personalities included, former Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha, Akwa Ibom Governor, Emmanuel Udom, former governor of Kebbi state, Senator Ademu Alero.
Others included serving and former governors, serving and former ministers, serving and former national assembly members, retired military officers and diplomats, captain of industries, as well as others.
However, at the entrance leading to the gate, stern-looking security personnel stopped other well-wishers from entering the mansion.
Just as they expressed shock and disappointment for not being allowed entrance by the security officers as against what was obtained before.
Similarly, journalists who usually visit the mansion to cover IBB’s birthday activities were blatantly barred at entrance with inscription boldly written, ” no journalists, no camera allowed here” by the security men.
After waiting for hours, the media men that came from both within and outside the state were later asked to leave that the presence was not required even at the gate.
IBB had in a national TV interview days ago said Nigeria needs a President like Senator Orji Kalu in 2023 to move forward.
